Gameplay Experience
I’m not a huge Spider-Man fan, so I waited for a good sale before trying this game. To my surprise, it hooked me right away.
The PC version looks fantastic and runs smoothly, making web-swinging through New York City a lot of fun. The combat is easy to learn, and you don’t need to complete every side activity to enjoy the game.
The story was the biggest surprise for me. It has great pacing, strong performances, and some memorable moments. The boss fights are fun and never feel frustrating.
The main game is excellent, but the three-part DLC is a step down. The story is less interesting, and some missions feel unnecessarily difficult. Still, it’s important for understanding the next games.
Although the DLC left me a bit tired, I’m still excited to play Spider-Man: Miles Morales and eventually Spider-Man 2.
